Tory Burch Gold Kylie Dress

I just read both Bergdorf Blondes and The Debutante Divorcee, both by Vogue contributor and fashion maven in the making, Plum Sykes. Plum and her twin sister Lucy are from Britain, but they’re part of the late 20s, early 30s New York social set that includes Tinsley Mortimer, Lauren Davis, and all those fantastically glamorous women, many of whom had their names used in Plum’s books. Those fictional characters wore some astoundingly glamorous outfits, and this Tory Burch Gold Kylie Dress is pretty much the type of thing I imagined they would wear. Tory Burch herself is part of this in-crowd, so it makes sense that she knows how to dress them. The flirty silk shift comes covered in metallic gold paillettes, making it shimmer in the evening and dazzle in the daytime. It’s $750 from Active Endeavors, so order it today if, like me, you’re mesmerized by impossibly chic New York socialites. It’s beyond!

Can’t seem to get yourself to wear one of Tory’s famous sequined dresses? Me neither…. I just never thought I could pull it off. But this Metallic Top from her new Fall line, I can definitely see myself in. You’ll stand out wearing this gold, sleeveless metallic top and if you look closely it has the coolest abstract print. Another great thing about it…. you can get it at Bergdorf Goodman for only $195.00!! Perfect for a night on the town!

New York’s Shining New Star

Tory Burch’s life is a modern New York fairy tale: She came from a well-bred family, married a brilliant businessman, had children, but then got divorced. However, don’t feel bad for this woman at all, because nothing can keep her down. During this period of crisis, Ms. Burch managed to both raise her children and continue leading the fashion company that she started with her ex-husband. There are also some rumors that she is presently dating Lance Armstrong. Whether they are true or not, the Tory Burch line has blossomed into a respectable fashion house with magazines like O, Vanity Fair, and W singing her praises.

Tory’s army green Short Sleeve Sgt. Pepper Dress reminds me of Yves Saint Laurent’s 1968 "Safari" collection, where the couturier capitalized on social trends and the events of the time to liberate womenswear. Tory’s take on Safari chic is just as great with its sharp and simple form and comfortable stretch cotton material.

However, its her 2T signature print that really captures that 60’s groove and passion for unique prints. If I were you I would grab this dress while it is still on sale for $195. Judging form this socialite turned designer’s report card it will be out of stock soon.

I was a late comer in discovering Tory Burch, one of Americas best lifestyle designers. Tory creates clothes and accessories that are stylish yet elegant and at an accessible price for everyone. With her famous logo flats in every color I’ve now moved on to her great collection of sandals for summer. The Ali Sandal is a calf leather thong with gold buckle and with of course her signature gold logo detail. It comes in a variety of colors including metallic and patent leather. Don’t be late in discovering these sandals at only $195.00 they are moving fast!
