The Body Shop Nail Color - A Review

I was never big on nail polish. I don’t color my nails often, nor have I ever owned more than 2 bottles at any time since I was about 15. However, if I ever have a slight lapse in judgment and decide to paint my nails, I want the polish to be worth my while. No one likes spending the 15 minutes painting the nails and the 4 hours trying to avoid touching anything, only for the polish to wear off. After a pretty horrible experience with Urban Decay nail polish (which chipped no less than 4 hours after applying), I was about to swear off the stuff for good. This is why I was excited, as well as intrigued, when a bottle of nail polish from the Body Shop seemed to do the trick.

The freaking Body Shop? Is this 1995, you ask? I mean, are we all back in high school, taking trips to the mall, swirling bronzing beads on our oily, adolescent faces with one hand, while holding frosty banana-strawberry smoothies in the other?
Sadly, no. We’re all here now, in this complicated world of 2007, but I AM intending to get retro on you guys. And I’m starting with The Body Shop. This place has revamped, retooled and in all other ways revitalized their makeup collections. We all know it’s the place for all your Ocean/Tobacco/Grass/Musk-scented home-oils, but now the "Shop" is also your go-to stop for glosses, bronzers and shimmers. I especially love their Spring/Summer shadow-cube with a frosty collection of pastels for almost any skin hue. And for a diamond-lit lip with mega-watt sheen, try their Crystal Sparkle Glosses–but be warned: the shine factor is so high, you’ll have to pass out sunglasses…
