Sarah Jessica Parker’s BITTEN Collection

When Sarah Jessica Parker launched her BITTEN fashion line this summer, I thought I was losing my hearing when she announced that everything in the collection is under $20. Available exclusively at Steve and Barry’s stores, the BITTEN collection largely reflects Sarah Jessica Parker’s personal style and offers everything from jeans to suit separates. Sweaters, tops, jackets, dresses, bags, jewelry, and shoes are also part of the collection and range in size from XS-XXL in tops, 0-22 in bottoms, and 5-11 in shoes. Why did Parker name the collection BITTEN? Apparently, Parker was "bitten by the Steve and Barry’s bug" the first time she walked into a Steve and Barry’s store and her reaction subsequently became the name of the collection. I, for one, am grateful to Sarah Jessica Parker for designing a fashionable, wearable, yet affordable collection accessible to all women. Who doesn’t love a bargain? Get ‘bitten’ by Sarah Jessica Parker’s new BITTEN fall collection at a Steve and Barry’s near you.  Â

This fabulous Arden B. cover up has arrived just in time for fall! The double ruffle collar and contrast stitching add distinctive details to this trendy capelet. Button and front tie closures cinch the waist while the bell sleeves add volume to create a flattering silhouette. When the weather becomes cooler, wear this capelet over a fitted long-sleeve tee or sweater to create a fun layered look.Â
Bebe Metallic Puff Sleeve Sweater

I fell in love with this Bebe Puff Sleeve Sweater for its metallic sparkle and wide hemline. The V neckline elongates the neck and torso (a tip I learned long ago while watching a certain makeover show on TLC) while the puff sleeves add drama to this sweater. With cooler weather on the way, you’ll continue to sparkle right through the fall season.  Â
Chloé leather ballet flats

What can I say? I have always favored brown leather shoes for fall. Dreary black shoes seem like they should be strictly reserved for the winter months when you’re cold and need stark contrast in your outfits. Fall begs for much more earthy and muted hues all in the same family like browns, cranberries, burnt oranges, and the occasional copper. I love these Chloé leather ballet flats. Their shade of russet-toned leather always seems like the quintessential color of footwear to pair with cozy sweaters and multi-colored leaves. I could see myself wearing these year after year under oh-so-blue November skies. My favorite details include the rounded toe and buckle, which remind me of the make-me-drool Paddington bags.Â
