Mad About Madras

I’m a Madras addict- bags, flip-flops, shorts, skirts, jackets, belts, you name it, I want it. Luckily, it’s everywhere this season. My favorite summer dress is naturally this adorable jumper from J. Crew that just oozes cuteness and comfort. I’m going to wear mine sightseeing on vacation, to backyard fiestas, and walks down the boardwalk.  It’s surprisingly affordable for something this timeless. The pockets only make me love it more!
Dress Your Sims in H&M®!
Posted on June 5, 2007 at 6:18 pm (PST) | Comments OffNow I’m not much of a gamer, but I do love me some H&M® so I am quite intrigued by the latest feature to be added to The Sims 2. The Sims 2, the popular video game that allows gamers to create virtual characters and communities, is about to get a serious fashion upgrade!

Starting on Thursday, players of The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Special DVD Edition, or The Sims 2 Holiday Edition can dress up their Sims in cute dresses, tops, skirts, pants and other fabulous outfits, complete with accessories-all inspired by real H&M® designs. Using The Sims 2 H&M® Fashion Stuff, you can also design your very own H&M® inspired store and put on a Sims fashion show on your virtual catwalk. I have to say, I am impressed! I might have to get the thumbs exercising and check this out. Preorder The Sims 2 H&M® Fashion Stuff here.
The New Mini Skirts - Trend Alert

I am sure you all have a classic blue denim mini skirt in your closet; I think it qualifies as a wardrobe staple. But after being struck by white lightening and the resurgence of bright denim it’s not surprising this warm weather skirt has taken on new forms. The new mini skirts are still fun and flirty but are freshly updated; I’m thinking a white one would be too cool for school.
(L-R)
- GAP Pinstriped denim mini skirt, $50.
- Citizens of Humanity Electric Guitar Mini Skirt, $132.
- James Jeans - Dry Aged Denim Mini Skirt, $137.

Oh my God. I don’t know if anyone saw last Friday’s Oprah, but there is something great coming to a store near you in early June. SJP other wise known as Sarah Jessica Parker, has created a fashionable and very affordable clothing and accessory line called, Bitten. It is called Bitten because that is the feeling she got when she decided to dive into the creative design side of the fashion industry. The best thing about SJP’s line is that every thing is under $20. This is not a joke by any means. Her line includes shoes, bags, skirts, dresses, shirts, coats, and tops. A favorite item of mine is one of her bags called, "Freak". All items are made from very great quality; so don’t be fooled by the price. SJP wanted to do the impossible and make great quality clothing, for very affordable prices. So where can Bitten be bought? Well the line will be sold exclusively at Steve & Barry’s stores nationwide, starting June 7, 2007. Ladies get your running shoes, because there will definitely be a race to the store to grab all the items in this line. Click here to check it out.
2007 Cannes Film Festival: Chloe Sevigny

I’m not loving Chloe Sevigny’s attempt at a fusion of feminine ruffles with a masculine Scorpion belt. I do love how she can wear the tiniest of mini skirts and still look classy though.
