What can I say?  I have always favored brown leather shoes for fall.  Dreary black shoes seem like they should be strictly reserved for the winter months when you’re cold and need stark contrast in your outfits.  Fall begs for much more earthy and muted hues all in the same family like browns, cranberries, burnt oranges, and the occasional copper.  I love these Chloé leather ballet flats.  Their shade of russet-toned leather always seems like the quintessential color of footwear to pair with cozy sweaters and multi-colored leaves.  I could see myself wearing these year after year under oh-so-blue November skies.  My favorite details include the rounded toe and buckle, which remind me of the make-me-drool Paddington bags.

Gucci Platform Booties

These Gucci Platform Booties are high fashion!!! They are perfect for my imaginary fashion life where I’m jet-setting to New York and Paris, going to the hottest parties and attending the biggest fashion shows. In fact I think I’ve seen Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen wearing shoes similar to these while heading to their local Starbucks. I think you get it. So maybe they aren’t the kind of sensible shoes an average gal could wear on an average day and get away with it.  But who says we cant imagine!!!!

Fendi Crossword Patent Platform

I am loving these Patent Platforms by Fendi! Let me list the reasons why! First off they have a sky high 5.25" heel. They have a 1.25" platform, making them slightly easier to walk in or just stand in. They come in Falls it color gray.  They are sling back peep toes and would look great with a dress for a night out on the town……… should I go on??  I guess all you need to know is you’ll look ever so stylish in them and of course - they’re by Fendi! Betsey Johnson Shoes

Color me oblivious, but until reading this month’s issue of In Style magazine, I had no idea that Betsey Johnson made shoes.  I’m not as addicted to Betsey as I am to Chloé, otherwise I would have known such a fact, obvi.  Anyway, finding these hot shoes has convinced me to keep up with the whimsical designer.  These fun ones have it all: patent leather, platform heels, and good old fashioned schoolgirl plaid.  I love the two-tone shoes that are appearing everywhere for fall (er, thanks for keeping me informed, In Style!)  I can see these being worn with dress pants to the office toughed up with a leather jacket for a night out.

Lindsay Lohan was the face of Miu Miu last season, and that turned out to be one of Miuccia Prada’s most loved collections for Prada’s little sister label.
