Brooks Brothers, $158
The heat is on, and summer is here to stay. For those of you with a head full of ringlet hair head scarves are your accessory of the season. Avoid the frizz and fro by tying on a colorful scarf to top off your outfit. Add a pair of chic sunglasses for that glamorous early 60’s Jackie O look. Here are a few more of my favorites:

Brooks Brothers, $79

J. Crew, $24.99

Dior, $260. (Forever 21 has a great knock off pair!)
*The Brooks Brothers scarves are beautiful but a bit pricey; vintage shops always have a great selection priced around $15. Go for the bright bold colors they really add a nice pop to plainer outfits.

Karen Walker
The term onesie no longer only refers to footed outfits sported by gurgling babies and sized by the number of months. The ultra femme adult version (minus padded feet) is affluent this summer with coy looks by Karen Walker, Stretsis, United Bamboo, and Daryl K. It’s the perfect quirky alternative to a summer dress. When you’re not up to sitting pretty, crossing those soon to be sun tanned stems, or digging for that matching blouse, shimmy into a onesie, slip on a pair of pumps and you’re all set!

As the last of the cherry blossoms fall and the air conditioners are revved up for their summer run, it could be assumed that the warmer weather has arrived for its yearly visit. So, instead of being miserable indoors, why not show the weather’s who’s boss with a comfy dress?
Old Navy’s summer line features several styles of classy outfits, including the Long Crepe Dresses. Featuring a crochet lace trim, ruffled tiers and an empire waist, this dress would be sure to compliment any body type. The dress above comes in two convenient colors: black and white, each priced at $39.50 a pop for the size 16-26 selection. The size 1-20 selections are only $34.50 and offer a larger range of colors.
So over the extra baggage

The notorious big bag peaked this past winter and is finally on its way down from the summit. Resting comfortably in the valley for the summer are it’s convenient counterparts the clutch and coinpurse. While your outfits are shedding layers, your bags should be shedding sizes. This Hamptons Limited Edition Red Patent Coin Purse is the perfect accessory for the season’s breezy dresses. Toss in your lipstick, cash, and keys, and be on your easy breezy way…to the beach!
If cherry red is not your bag, per say, check out these great alternatives:

Precious Pearl Bag, White House Black Market, $98

Inge Pandora Paisley Clutch, eBags, $227

Tufi Duek small frame purse, Bluefly, $241
2007 Cannes Film Festival: Jessica Simpson

Is it me or have Jessica Simpson’s outfits been showing off too much bust lately? The bodice of this grey and white zig zig dress is not super flattering, and the short-in-front, long-in-back style doesn’t suit her. I do, however, love her nude ankle strap sandals because it almost looks like she’s barefoot. Sexy! What do you think?
