Teri Hatcher in Badgley Mishka

Teri Hatcher stood out from a sea of predictable red carpet looks in this whimsical Badgley Mishka polka-dot dress that balanced sophistication with playfulness. The tea length and sweetheart neckline are so flattering on any body, calling attention to all the right places and masking the not-so-right ones. When Hatcher isn’t on Wysteria Lane, the Desperate Housewife will be showing off her modeling skills as the newest face of ultra chic designer Badgley Mishka. While the dress is fabulous Hatcher actually stripped down to her designer skivvies for some of the ads!

Super hot tennis star Maria Sherapova announced Wednesday that she will be fighting to defend her US Open Title in a collection of knockout custom-made dresses from Nike. The statuesque athlete modeled her new looks from the top of New York’s Rockefeller Plaza on Wednesday. Sherapova will be wearing classic black and white for her day matches and eye-catching red for evening. The dress she will be sporting for her first match is a confidently sexy red frock accented with more than 600 Swarovski crystals. Sherapova’s one-of-a-kind Nike / Swarovski stunner is not available for purchase but you can still add a little sass to your backhand with some of Nike’s other Sherapova - inspired designs.

Built by Wendy Wool Tunic

I was pleasantly surprised to see Built by Wendy’s fall line finally pop up on the web site (oh, I haven’t been checking that often …just once or twice a day). I was especially drawn to this wool tunic in burgundy, natch. We often think of tunics as being light and swingy, but this piece defies the norm and still looks fabulous. I love the textured knit of the sweater, and I can see it being worn with a belt over it or as-is. I love the illustrated look of ¾-length sleeves layered over other shirts! And plus, how about the gorgeous and talented Robin Tunney modeling the brand? Fabulous!
Anna Sui printed top

Anna Sui is always a fun designer. I love how her models are always blushing brightly as they strut down the catwalk in clothes that are interesting and wearable. While she is one of the brilliant designers of our time, Sui is never unrealistic about what kinds of things real women will wear. For her summer 2007 show, she favored a lot of pirate-themed clothing. I think that this printed top is both unique and accessible. It would work on a ship with a peg-leg and a parrot on your shoulder, or with a denim mini and some sleek flats while out on the town. Unlike a lot of designer pieces, I can see any woman, not just size double-zero supermodels, feeling comfortable in this flattering blouse on a warm summer evening. For a transition into autumn, I might even try it with one of the chic hats Sui favored so much in the show!
