The Other Face of Longchamp

Most people are familiar with Longchamp’s Le Pliage line of fabulously functional vinyl pieces. The French company has also collaborated with artists to make wonderfully cute, and sometimes very kitschy, handbags and other accessories. What people don’t often see is the more sophisticated side of Longchamp. This handbag is from their Cavalier line. Made out of distressed mocha leather, this sac has a vintage feel to it, but it has been updated with cute technical details like a magnetic closure, a back pocket, and bright lining. Priced at $425, this bag seems like a great investment to me, because I could see myself carrying everything that I need inside of it. Longchamp did a great job with this piece, not sacrificing too much of the rustic identity for functionalism and modernity.
