Looking for something cool for summer? Look to Thakoon! Thakoon Panichgul is the current king of irreverent New York fashion. His vibe is almost like a more sugary version of Marc Jacobs with a bit of Vera Wang romance. This Thakoon Kimono Dress is just the thing to cure your summer blues. The colorblock jersey dress has sweet pintuck pleats that really spruce up an otherwise low-key look. The jersey is 64% tencel, which means it’ll feel incredibly silky against the skin. The obi belt is chic and witty and just the thing for the New York City girl (and those who wish to dress like her). Get it now from eLuxury for just $735!
Bonus! This week only, eLuxury has free shipping with the code "FF07"!
Diane von Furstenberg Kimono Cover-Up

This Diane von Furstenberg Kimono Cover-Up isn’t your typical beach cover-up. It’s actually something that would look very lovely off the beach as well. That picture does not do this top justice. It has a beautiful drape that just kind of flows in the breeze. In the right size, my friend actually suggests this as a maternity top, because it’s cool and comfortable, but covered and classy. And the color looks just divine against deep colors of skin. Let the breeze bring you straight to this winner, 33% off from Nordstrom for just $153.90!
One of Brooklyn’s Finest

Brooklyn is quickly becoming the it borough of New York City. For those who disagree or are offended by this statement, you probably have yet to visit or realized that you can get an amazing brownstone for the same price as your Co-Op. One of the burrough’s sweetest exports is Brooklyn Industries, a sportswear company that packs the Brooklyn mantra of a laidback life into all of their products; luckily, the Forget Me Not Kimono happens to be one of these items. This simple Japanese kimono top features flowers bursting into a field of space, while the strips of white fabric prevents it from being too overwhelming. You can own this cute item for $58.
Trend Spotter: Bows

It can be hard to be fashionable, trendy, and still look mature in the summer, because we all just want to get rid of layers of fabric and put on something that lets in the most amount of cool air. However, the best solution for this problem is to wear simple pieces that make grand statements like this Linen Bow-Back Blouse by Ports 1961. The gentle folds of the kimono front give no hint to the three dramatic bows at the back of the shirt, where the back is slightly exposed. This blouse expertly combines ladylike elegance with sexuality in this $395 ivory linen blouse, which would also work well with a brilliant skirt as a summertime wedding ensemble.
Bangkok Blunder or Misshapen Wonder?

One part of me loves the fact that this Thai kimono dress dress is a combination of both Japanese and Thai aesthetics. This 1970’s gem has wonderful sleeves and a free flowing cut that makes it perfect for the beach or sailing on a boat. And I must say that the print is an exotic wonder, but I’m just not sure if its worth the $73 it costs. Does this 1970’s Thai kimono dress deserve to be tied up and left in grandma’s attic? Or should I expect to encounter this item on the next Irina Lazareanu prancing through the streets of Williamsburg?
