Ralph Lauren’s 40th Anniversary Extravaganza

Ralph Lauren is the king of classic American glamour. For his 40th anniversary, he celebrated by putting on the most amazing spectacle of his career. A whopping 72 looks were sent down the runway, each a testament to Ralph’s incomparable talent for creating timeless visions of what American, and now women worldwide, will want to wear for everything from going to work to going to the Oscars. One of my many favorite looks in the show was the white gown above, simply stunning in its simple elegance. It’s what some talented, pretty, young ingenue will wear next spring to dazzle the crowds of wherever she goes. Ralph Lauren is definitely reaching new heights of spectacular style!

“Sophia Kokosalaki” for Linda Farrow Vintage Sunglasses

I tried on the raddest sunglasses from Linda Farrow the other day, and now I’m all about her designs. I love the collaboration between Sophia Kokosalaki, creator of the gown Bjork wore to the 2004 Olympic Games opening ceremony (Jonathan calls it the “most epic dress of all time”), and Farrow, purported pioneer behind Yoko Ono’s trademark wraparounds. The “K” logo on the sides of the black rectangular frame makes this the perfect pair for me. Availability is limited so order these soon for $ 288.

J. Crew’s line of wedding gowns must have been made with California in mind. Every dress is simply perfect for a different California location.
