Chloé leather ballet flats

What can I say?  I have always favored brown leather shoes for fall.  Dreary black shoes seem like they should be strictly reserved for the winter months when you’re cold and need stark contrast in your outfits.  Fall begs for much more earthy and muted hues all in the same family like browns, cranberries, burnt oranges, and the occasional copper.  I love these Chloé leather ballet flats.  Their shade of russet-toned leather always seems like the quintessential color of footwear to pair with cozy sweaters and multi-colored leaves.  I could see myself wearing these year after year under oh-so-blue November skies.  My favorite details include the rounded toe and buckle, which remind me of the make-me-drool Paddington bags.

Bamford Ombre Crocodile Tote

I’m torn. The Bamford Ombre Crocodile Tote, available from Neiman Marcus, has got me all confused. At first glance, this tote is totally covetable. With the stunning green and grey ombré croc skin, it’s definitely a winner. The tote shape is handy as can be, and the details all look in place. This was a bag to have! But I looked at the price, a hefty $16,500, and I thought, aw shucks! For that same price, I could get many, many other bags. In fact, I could get 4 or even 8 Bottega Veneta bags! So yeah, I guess the real dilemma would be the fact that I can’t even remotely afford this bag. But if you could, would you spring for it?

Botkier bags are the perfect example of something that’s incredibly chic and high quality at a price much lower than one would think. Take the Botkier Trigger Turbo Bag in Brandy. At just $610 from Revolve Clothing, you get a bag that’s made of unbelievably soft Italian calfskin with an exceptionally handy number of pockets and compartments. Between the zippered pockets and the magnetic pockets, it’s easy to figure out where to store all your goodies. It’s really a bag you have to feel to fall in love with, and you’ll definitely fall in love with the price, which is at least half the price of most designer bags. See, it’s a totally good deal too!

Gustto has so many great bags out, it took me forever to decide which style to write about!  Gusttos’ french-born designer Agathe Planchon creates the most gorgeous handbags.  Pictured here is just one.  The Cala Zip Top Clutch, is available at Nordstroms for pre-order at $345.00.  I’m so excited about all her new season bags… I don’t know how I’ll ever decide on just one!!
