Marc by Marc Jacobs Velvet empire line dress

I bought this dress back in March in New York, loved it and decided to return it, because I couldn’t imagine wearing velvet with summer looming. This led to a horrifying experience with Bloomingdale’s (lack of) customer service and, months later, the discovery that the dress is still available on sale at Net-A-Porter for $184 (was $368). This dress is so much better IRL and perfect for the upcoming holiday season (I know it’s only September, but Harrods sets out their Christmas display in August!).
