GUESS Alex Pleat Skirt Coat

Posted on October 29, 2007 at 7:26 am (PST) | Comments Off

Oh how I wish I’d had this GUESS Alex Pleat Skirt Coat in the "milk" color pictured above last weekend when I went to dinner with friends.  It would’ve been a great contrast to the multitude of dark colors I have in my closet for winter.  Plus, I love how the pea coat double-breasted style is balanced with a belted waist and pleated skirt.  Paired with tall boots, I would’ve been the talk of the dinner table…in a good way.  For only $198, you can stop wishing for a great light-colored coat (like me) and start revving up for winter.

seven vintage

I love the “VINTAGE 2001″ patch on these 7 For All Mankind bootcuts available exclusively at Bloomingdale’s ($183) but can’t find them on the website, so you’ll have to make the trek to see them in person. While you’re there, check out the Little Pink Boutique for goodies like the Honeydew Pink Ribbon “Rumba” Panty and Elie Tahari Silk Skirt with Feathered Hem and rest assured that every purchase made will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF).

Victoria’s Secret Stretch Pencil Skirt

Posted on August 23, 2007 at 5:56 am (PST) | Comments Off

Any old pencil skirt is a cinch to find, but finding a pencil skirt that’s easy to walk in and won’t bunch up on your thighs as you move is like finding a needle in a haystack.  As I searched for my own sleek and modern piece to add to my wardrobe, low and behold I found that Victoria’s Secret has once again reached beyond sexy lingerie to create the ultimate pencil skirt.  The back ruffle adds a sexy detail to this skirt and the European fabric won’t wrinkle or bunch.  Ah, sweet success.

Mary Kate Loves Pencil Skirts, And So Will You

Posted on August 16, 2007 at 10:23 am (PST) | Comments Off

Mary Kate Olsen showed off her always slight frame at the Weeds premiere party recently. Her tuxedo-style pencil skirt is the perfect must-have for fall. A black pencil skirt is easy to mix and match with anything, including another fall essential, boots. For most of us humanoid women not quite as svelte as Mary Kate the pencil skirt from Spanx can give us a little extra help.

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Bustle Skirt

VIVE-WD2 V2

The glam pencil skirt meets a gloriously superfluous saloon/dance hall girl external bustle bubble. Inexplicable? Unflattering? Likely to inspire the uninspired “junk in the trunk” joke? I’d totally wear it. Available at revolve for $371$186.
