Go Bra-less!

Everyone knows Victoria’s Secret equals sexy, and their new sundress is no exception. This comfy creation is the best sort of sexy, the understated, ooo I just rolled out of bed looking this fabulous, kind. The $38.00 sundress comes in six sunny colors and fits women sized 0-18. The best part — the dress is double-lined and features a built-in bra, which means you won’t have to worry about finagling an always uncomfortable strapless bra, and you absolutely cannot see through it so no one will ever know that you’re going commando. To see the rest of VS’s fashions that just scream smart and sexy, visit their web site and when you see their flawless models just try to hope there was a lot of airbrushing involved.
Toilet Paper Fashion

This super stunning dress was created by Hanah Kim. Hanah Kim is not a fashion designer and her dress is not made of the usual trimmings of taffeta and lace. Kim is just a regular — way talented — woman who created a dress out of toilet paper! Kim won first place in a contest hosted by CheapChicWeddings.com. Contestants were asked to design wedding gowns entirely out of toilet paper. Kim won $500.00 and her design will be made into a real gown — hopefully in a more luxurious material than TP. Sarah Jessica Parker’s BITTEN Collection

When Sarah Jessica Parker launched her BITTEN fashion line this summer, I thought I was losing my hearing when she announced that everything in the collection is under $20. Available exclusively at Steve and Barry’s stores, the BITTEN collection largely reflects Sarah Jessica Parker’s personal style and offers everything from jeans to suit separates. Sweaters, tops, jackets, dresses, bags, jewelry, and shoes are also part of the collection and range in size from XS-XXL in tops, 0-22 in bottoms, and 5-11 in shoes. Why did Parker name the collection BITTEN? Apparently, Parker was "bitten by the Steve and Barry’s bug" the first time she walked into a Steve and Barry’s store and her reaction subsequently became the name of the collection. I, for one, am grateful to Sarah Jessica Parker for designing a fashionable, wearable, yet affordable collection accessible to all women. Who doesn’t love a bargain? Get ‘bitten’ by Sarah Jessica Parker’s new BITTEN fall collection at a Steve and Barry’s near you.  Â
Gwen Stefani Covers Up

The always fabulous Gwen Stefani proved she can be fun, funky, and fashionable even while cooperating with Islamic standards of female decency. The pop/rock star rocked out her recent concert in Kuala Lumpur and kept her word to comply with Islamic feelings on modest dressing. Stefani may have covered up her rock hard abs but she certainly was not wearing a burka. Stefani tweaked her trademark jail striped booty short ensemble by adding opaque black tights, opera gloves and a shimmery cape. She completed the look with a sharp menswear-inspired top with matching tie and vest. Gwen manages to make even covering up a fashion statement. For more of Gwen’s edgy styles her L.A.M.B. line is always fabulously fresh. Â
Valentino at the Oscar’s

In honor of the impending retirement of Valentino, a man whose design empire has become one of the cornerstones of high fashion, I thought it only fair to showcase one of his most memorable modern designs. This gown, worn by the statuesque Cate Blanchett to the Oscar’s, captures such a classic look, while being anything but boring. The fabric is draped to perfection, the broach adds the perfect amount of sparkle and the yellow gives the dress a dare-to-be different flare. While this dress is nothing new it definitely deserves a second look and is my little salute to Valentino — one of fashion’s greats. To view some of his fabulous designs visit the Valentino web site. The best part is the site fails to give any prices so feel free to fantasize without having to have bad thoughts of using that rent money for couture.  Â
