Alexander McQueen Rose Sandal

These rubber and leather T-strap McQueen sandals are lovely and gloomy in a more subtle, less ANTM ghost bride-ish way than his signature skull scarf (if you’re kicking yourself for missing it on sale at Aloha Rag, you’re not the only one-I wasn’t even aware that the scarves were in stock, much less that they ever go on discount[correction: the skull scarves were Thomas Wylde and not McQueen, but I’m still bummed]). The blue gray roses are an appealing variation on the faerie queene rosettes shown on the runway for the spring 2007 Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear collection. They are a bit reminiscent of those ubiquitous giant flower pins Carrie Bradshaw used to sport, but I do think the sandals work with a simple LWD, like the trendy and comfy, bloat-friendly and floaty cotton trapeze mini by Vince at Saks for $165. The McQueen sandals are available in sizes 36-38 for $738 at Aloha Rag. What do you think?
